Home Office,
Whitehall,
My dear Wilson,
2415.271
23rd May, 1927.
Thank you for your note of the 20th.
Since the Governor states definitely that he
has no ground for suspecting Nemazee of being
now connected with the illicit traffic in opium,
we can no longer press you to insist on the
decision to withhold travelling facilities.
I hope, however, that the Colonial Government
will continue to be on their guard
-
particularly
in view of what is said about Nemazee's present
financial position as it would be very unfortunate
if he were to abuse his liberty and afford our
critics another ground of attack.
Yours ever,
Sohee kunder
Brigadier-General
Sir Samuel Wilson, K.C.M.G., K.B.E., C.B.
